First day of TP!

I wanted to blog about my TP experience last night but I was too tired to do so..I did it just now on the TP blog but the server was down hence, I just copied and pasted it here!

I actually did blog about my first day of TP yesterday but the system was down hence, I was not able to publish the post. Nevertheless, I shall blog about my first day of TP now and then perhaps, later on when I am well-rejuvenated then I shall blog about my second day.

First day of TP at SM SMJA (17th May) was...nerve-wrecking. I woke up super early and arrived at the school before 7am. I saw some of my course mates at the admin area so we waited there together. Uh, what were we waiting for? We did not have any idea actually; we were just hoping somehow,somewhere, someone will appear and take the lead. Soon, the school was filled with students eyeing on us curiously. More TP students came and I was glad to see some familiar faces. There are 18 of us on TP at SMJA. Finally, someone greeted us and led us to the conference room. That "someone" is the Deputy Principal (Academic) -Dk Hjh Rosnani. We were then given a briefing by her with the attendance from the Principal - Cikgu Hjh Sipiah, Deputy Principal (Administration) - Cikgu Pg Muhd Noor Shah and the assistant SM - Cikgu Noratinah.

We were then given our timetables and I was told to teach Menengah 4B and 4D (English). I am assigned to two CTs - Dr. Greg and Cikgu Hajah Maheran. Some of us then were given another timetable - the invigilation timetable! We were asked to invigilate exam classes until the end of the exam week which is next week. For now, we have no teaching tasks; only invigilating duties and relief classes. So far, I am trying my best to familiarize myself with the school vicinity. I admit that I do get lost every now and then but well, I learn by trial and error! :)

Less than 8 hours and I will be finding myself in an unfamiliar environment and it will definitely feel like the first day of school all over again. You know that feeling that you get when you first step on the ground of a new school? Yes, I think I am feeling that right now. It will be so much more terrible tomorrow. New school, new faces, new surroundings - everything new and unfamiliar. How will I cope? That...you will have to find out tomorrow when I offcially begin my TP!

A Makeover

TP is just...the day after tomorrow! So I went to the salon this afternoon to have my hair dyed dark. Apparently, my former hair colour was too "in your face" and thus, the makeover. I asked the hairstylist to just dye my hair dark and that I do not want it to be jet black but..oh well, here are the pictures :

A theory

I am done and over with the exams. I have been wanting to blog about this particular theory that I learnt from my Developmental Psychology course and it makes perfect sense when I read about it! I shall share this with you guys!

How many times have you heard or called someone "ego"? By ego, I do not mean the shop, EGO. I am sure that all of you have encountered that word; either you have used it on someone or you are being called an "ego" person. Now, to what extent do you really understand the concept of "ego"? Not much, right? Honestly, I only understood the surface meaning of "ego" (before I took Developmental Psychology) - though "ego" is not an adjective therefore, you cannot use it to define someone. The correct term is "egoistical". Anyway, "ego" does exist. Here's the theory by Sigmund Freud:

A person's personality is made up of 3 components : 1) The Id 2) The Ego and 3) The Superego.
Sounds unfamiliar to you? It's okay. Let me explain briefly.

Basically, the Id is the one which expresses our desires, needs and wants. In other words, "nafsu". The Ego is the one that is trying to surpress the demands of the Id and tries to deal with the demands in a realistic way. On the other hand, The Superego deals with the morality that is within a person - meaning to say, the Superego evaluates whether the action is right or wrong.

Here is a scenario:

A couple is facing a infidelity. Guy cheated on the girl. WHY?

Answer: The Id wants to cheat; the Ego tries to deal with the desire in a realistic way while the Superego tries to moralize the Ego so that it can deal with the desire idealistically (morally correct). However, Superego failed to convince the Ego who failed to surpress the unacceptable desire of the Id therefore, the guy cheated.

So do you understand now? If you have a strong ego strength, you will be able to balance out the ongoing duelings between the Id, Ego and Superego. Therefore, it depends on oneself's ego strength; if you are able to keep your Id under control, you will most likely to be fine.

I am having my last exam tomorrow! Yeaaay! Managing Classroom Behaviour - a SHBIE elective which I took because I believed that it would be useful when I go out teaching in schools in the future. I expected to learn HOW to manage the classroom; HOW to keep deviancy at bay; HOW to deal with unexpected situation(s); HOW to keep the classroom environment conducive and non-threatening. Uh-uh. I was wrong. Not gonna dwell on this issue much - too late to do anything anyway.

So, lately I have been losing weight. Not extreme, though. Perhaps just shed a few kilos and I tried on my old baju kurungs from like, 6 years ago - they fit me! Oh, bliss! I am thinking of creating a collage of myself; from say, year 2000 up until today - The change is massively huge! :)

Anyways, I am so not ready for my TP! I talked to some of my students from SMJA and they told me that all the classes from Year 7 to Year 10 are all in different blocks of buildings! Meaning to say, I have to walk from one end to another IF I had to teach Year 7 and Year 9. Another thing that they told me was that "Cher, Year 7 semua biliknya panas, cher!" -_-" Not comforting! Then the boys told me, "Cher, kalau cher ngajar Year 9 - teruk tu disiplin ah". Another non-comforting affirmation! Then they told me, "Kalau teacher under English Department, siuk tu staffroom nya, sama cigu-cigu nya. Tapi jauh plg dari class-class Year 7 and Year 9. Cher ngajar kami saja bah!" - That IS somehow a little bit comforting; at least I know that the English staff are superbly helpful and friendly people. :') Wish me luck! 8 weeks of battle! I can do this! I can!

Lost voice found!

Just started my exam yesterday and darn, it was hectic and stressful. I had 2 exams yesterday and today I had Developmental Psychology. I sort of struggled with it but I think I can manage to get a C or B. *Fingers crossed* I am glad that I've got my voice back; been struggling to produce sound since last Friday. It was utterly difficult for me to teach and to communicate with others. To make matters worse, I was scheduled to have my Japanese oral test on Saturday which was also the day that I totally lost my voice. I had no choice but to reschedule it and I had the oral test this afternoon after my Developmental Psychology exam. Hectic, much! Tomorrow morning I will be having my Japanese written exam and no, I have not revised yet; I just got back from teaching at Sg Hanching. Woooah. Life gets busier each day! Thursday I will have another exam and on Saturday and the following Monday! -_-" Then I will have about a few days free before I start my Teaching Practice at SMJA. So, no long semester break for me this year! Will be spending my time at school; waking up early in the morning, head to school; get stuck in traffic; deal with school politics and such. Ugh. What a way to start the "long-term semester break". Great! Anyhoots, I just figured that I will blog here once in a while so that in the future when I read back, I can have some recollections of what I did in the past. It is fun to recall things that you subconciously forgot. However, when I start my TP, I will have to blog everyday about my day and encounters via another blog. It is the TP department's requirement. So much for the holiday! Gaaaaah. I am off to sleep now. Toodles!

It's been quite awhile since I last touched upon this blog. Today something triggered in me to write something here; perhaps as a way for me to vent my frustration. I was at a conflicting point of view with a friend and it seems that nothing was resolved from our little "confrontation". I may not be from a prestigious school or in his words, I was from a mediocre school. I may not be taking a degree at a prestigious university as he did nor may I not be travelling around much as he did. He may have lived in this world 2 years longer than I did but I don't personally think that that makes him wiser than I am. (No, he didn't say that he is but I assumed it). Anyways, the main point is not about this friend. The main point is that I grew up in a place where conservation is pretty much a big issue. I mean, seriously 22 years in Brunei? You will pretty much be inclined to its culture by now. So naturally, my set of views and thinkings may not be as open-minded as a certain friend thus, I may find at times that the things that he put across was either too personal or sensitive. But of course, to this friend, it is nothing. And fine, it is not wrong to hold on to your own opinions. But like I said to him, you have to know where you stand and I was not referring to status or position.
What I am trying to say is there is a fine line between being open-minded and arrogant.
PS: I don't really care if that friend happened to stumble across this blog. Cause I am that disappointed and offended.

Just dropping by to do a quick update! It's Thursday and I love Thursdays now because it marks the start of our weekend! I don't have class on Saturdays! Wooohooo! But then again I have lots of assignments to deal with. Presentations, peer teaching practise and yadah yadah! Ugh.. so much to do! This is like way much more hectic than when I was in FASS! Oh well. I think I can cope with it provided that this laptop doesn't die on me! OMG! I better not jinx it!

My knees still hurt whenever I try to do lunges and squads. I guess I should visit the doctor before it gets any worse! I don't know what to blog about now; I am just so tired and sluggish now. I think that's about it for today. :)

I don't care if you think I am ugly or pretty. I don't care if you think my eyes are small or big. I simply don't care.

I believe that staying true to yourself is very important. So really, if you think I am all that and all that is what you can't accept, sorry then, your loss.

An update

I have been sick for the past few days; I am still sick at the moment. I feel warm on the outside but yet cold on the inside. Not only that, I am suffering from incessant coughings! On top of that, my whole body aches like hell. My ankles are so weak that I can barely move; my knees feel like they are about to give up on me. Ugh. I hate this feeling. To make it worse, I hate hospitals. Or clinics. I simply hate waiting. So I opted not to go to the hospital. Hence, I am medicine-free! Ugh! Anyways, uni has just started, we are in the 2nd week of the semester now. Things were hectic in the 1st week, now everything is falling into place which is a good thing. My timetable is crazy as ever! I am currently taking 7 courses for this semester! 7! S-E-V-E-N! Omygeeez! And my classes end like.. really late! Especially on Tuesdays! i start class at 8am and finishes at 7pm! OMG! Noooooooo! That means I will have to skip a day's worth of working out at the gym! GAAAAAH! Oh yeah, I have been going to the gym religiously. It's like my sanctuary there. I don't have to think about anything else and just focus on my workout. I like!

I am still teaching part time but not as hectic as last year's. Currently, I am only teaching once a week. I might take on more teaching jobs in months to come. I am also hoping to get the BruneiPress/BruneiTimes job but I doubt I will be called up anytime soon. Oh well~ Other than that, I am planning to apply for the 6 weeks course in Japan. It's gonna be a tough thing as lots of preparations need to be done AND it clashes with my Teaching Assistant (TA) in May/June! Aiyahhh..how leh how?? Speaking of TA, OMG, I will be graduating like, next year! Time sure flies! I am so excited yet scared! I am excited cause I will finally get to earn $2XXX or more! And will be able to spend lavishly! And maybe get an Audi TT! OOOOOH! Scared cause I might not have enough moolah to spend! Muahahahhahaa! And all the stress from work! Politics! Ugh! Nah, not gonna think about it for the time being! Just gotta enjoy the remaining semesters to the max! I'm signing off now, people!

What could possibly frustrate you more than being accused of something that you didn't do? It's like you very well know that you didn't do anything wrong but yet people still point their fingers at you and you feel like the whole world is turning against you. But the bigger question here is, WHY do people do that? Perhaps out of thrill? Or maybe it serves as a cover up for their own mistakes. Or maybe it is just the ego talking; refusing to understand the real situation. Sometimes one's ego may take over and mess with our rational thoughts. And once you are convinced that someone did something, your ego takes over & every ounce of rationality in you is thrown out of the windows. Yours truly is currently the "accusee"; and there's no words that can explain how I feel right now. All I can do is be patient and let karma do the dirty work.

Welcome 2010!

I must say I didn't have a good start this year. Too many shits. Oh well, guess nothing has changed. But I am determined to make a change this year. I will work hard and strive towards my goal. I want to achieve what I dream of. I want to try something new and make a difference in life. I am sick and tired of this non-progression shit. I need development; I need to move on to bigger things and see what the world can offer me. And I will not let anyone or anything to get in the way.

I watched Sherlock Holmes just now with Ally, Teny and Aspa. Gotta enjoy a little bit more before my freedom ends. The movie was ok; I fell asleep after an hour or so. Perhans it's too long-winded. Baaaah. Right after movie, I went to the gym. Did some hardcore gym session today. I went for the Body Pump class and I love t. Basically it's all about building muscles and toning your body. What I love about it is that it gives abs training as well; I need to lose the tummy asap; or it will get bigger and bigger! After Body Pump, I went for Body Jam - for those who love dancing, this is the class for you. Awesome!

I have nothing much to blog about. Maybe when there's some life-changing event that happened, then I'll blog about it. :) Toodles, all!

1. The name is Florance; spelled with an A not E.
2. The reason why it is Florance because my mum spelled it wrongly.
3. However, she found out that there IS such spelling so she didn't bother to change.
4. I am the only one in the family who has an English name in the birth certificate.
5. They named me Florance because they wanted me to be independent and successful as those are the meanings behind the name.
6. I was born on 23rd November 1987; 1.32pm at RIPAS.
7. I was a big baby; 7-8 pounds?
8. I started wearing glasses when I was 8.
9. I started using contact lens when I was 19.
10. My first pair of lens was purple.
11. I had my first crush when I was in primary 2.
12. I used to be academically challenged; I was always the last 5 or so over a total of 45 students. 13. Somehow when I entered Form 1, I became *clever*. And from then on, I was always No.1.
14. I won Best Student Awards for 5 consecutive years.
15. I was suspended from school for 3 days when I was in Form 1.
16. I can speak Brunei Malay perfectly well.

Feelings

It has been awhile that I write something real and personal here. I don't know; sometimes I am just afraid to open up to the world about my feelings and such. It makes me feel vulnerable. And I don't like feeling vulnerable. So I tend to keep a barrier between what, I feel and what I portray on the outside. Say, if someone died, I can still keep a smile on my face. But that doesn't mean that I am heartless. It simply means that I am not ready to show the world how I feel. I never had a problem with portraying my feelings before; it just so happened that I was beng betrayed and not only did he rip away my ability to trust people again, he killed a part of me - the part where I express my feelings.

Right now, I just feel...broken.

I had my interview the very next day after the dateline for the application.

After 2 weeks of waiting, the verdict is finally here!

I have a new stalker! Well, not a new stalker; it just took me 1 year and 7 months to realize it that's all. There's this lady who has been snooping around in my Tagged and FB since last year. I never knew her existence until I simply browsed through her FB this morning. My brain was super alert this morning thus being able to work out the relations we have with each other.

This lady hates my guts; she always uses me as her excuse to pick a fight with her ex-fiance. Whenever she saw me in town (EXCUSE ME, MY KNOWLEDGE OF HER EXISTENCE IS ZERO!) she would scold her ex-fiance because she thought that he had purposely brought her there to annoy her. Does it make any sense? I don't think so. She's loca! *NO, it's not LOCAL. I said LOCA. Not sure if that's how the Spaniards spell it though. Anyhoots, I've acknowledged a new stalker, a new hater. Ah, life is wonderful, ain't it?

Right after the wedding reception, we went to The Mall and watched G.I.Joe. Y'all may call me G.I. Flo from now on. The movie, well, is not my cup of tea. So I would give it a 5/10. After the movie, we were entertained by a group of Caucasian navy armies with their musical talents. They put up a show at The Mall's atrium and they were amazing. The Royal Brunei Armed Forces showcasted their talents as well and I must say, I was surprised to see such talented local musicians.

Recently I've been addicted to Choki2, I've been eating boxes of it since last week. (Thanks to Zal for getting me another box last night!) Not exactly a healthy habit but oh well, it will do for now. 2nd day of uni was ok..Surprisingly, I am quite looking forward to attend classes every now & then. Perhaps it's time to re-enact this brain after 2months+ of hibernation. I had brunch with Ally, Izaa, Mint and Don and eventually Milla and MY joined us as well right after class at The Arch. The food, well, is ok. I never was a fan of The Arch and never will be but I guess it's a good place to chill. The service is... s l o w! I went *shopping* (sounding how Don said "shopping"earlier on - only those who were at The Arch would get what I mean :) alone right after brunch. No, not shoes or clothes. I bought a new printer ink which I think I will be needing it for assignments as well as 3 different coloured highlighters. There are more school stuffs that I needed to get but my budget is sort of limited at the moment. Speaking of it, a big thanks to my friends (who wished to remain anonymous) for helping me out with the funds. I was tired when I got back home and had a short nap before going for a jog/hike at Tasek Lama.

Right now, I am feeling a little bit depressed. I just don't know what I am supposed to do. I feel that I am trying my best to make everything right but despite my effort, nothing seems to turn out right. I am happy by the day but by night, I will turn into this broody creature and god knows what went wrong. Sigh. And I believe that caring for someone should never be harsh. There's absolutely no such thing as "caring for someone harshly". It just adds on to the melancholy. Sometimes I just need a little wee bit of tender loving care. I'm a girl, afterall.

However, I am much more pissed at menial promises like you said you will help me out and you never did or the fact that you said you will lend me your CD and never came round to it or whatever small things it can be. Haha! I find this utterly hilarious! I received a message from a friend who is currently studying in the UK regarding an old friend of mine. Apparently, this old friend, let's name her "S" has been telling people a different version of what really happened between us. Now, here's a trip down to memory lane.

Back in 2000, I had this bestfriend (Oh yes, "had"). We practically did everything together, we were like the Siamese Twins. In terms of academic, we were always on par. Our grades would never differ that much. I would always be Number 1 and she would be Number 2. (No, I'm not boasting. I have an entire collection of my Best Student Awards trophies to prove it. Again, I'm not boasting. LOL!) Anyhoots, throughout those years I really thought our friendship was real and solid as gold. Never would I have thought that she felt otherwise. Apparently, she started to feel like she's my shadow. Teachers would tend to nominate me for any English competitions despite the fact that she is equally competent. Other classmates tend to pick on her whereas they would be nice to me. Okay, I can see why she started to despise me but it isn't my fault. I have my fair share of sad ordeal back in those days. We then slowly drifted apart. We have never spoken to each other since then. That was 7 years ago.

7 years later, I thought that we could bury the hatchet. I was wrong. Apparently, she has been telling people (1 of them is my friend who told me this thing) that I was jealous of HER and hence, the reason why I stopped being friends with her. The things that I was jealous about? - Guys and her implied beauty. Omygeez, girl, seriously, what is it in you that could possibly invoke the jealousy in me? Brains? Beauty? Guys? - Those I have in abundance.

Maybe you can start telling the truth to people the REAL reason (does a certain tall, lanky guy ring a bell?) why we drifted apart. Or would you like me to announce publicly in this blog? Now, I am not going to stoop to your level and spread malicious stories about you. So please, all I ask from you is not to cross the line. You know that once this thing gets out of control, there's no turning back. I have friends who can justify my claims, the question is, do you have any? Nah uh~

I had dinner at KNY Kitchen just now; I always order the same thing whenever I eat there : Seafood Tom Yam Extra Spicy with no peanuts and Ice Blended Milo. Nyums! (Aspa, no worries, this Thursday we go lagi ok! *Update : No jadi already! Boo hoo!) After dinner, we decided to watch Ice Age 3 : Dawn of The Dinosaurs at The Mall. It was the premiere night; the cinema was pretty full and we had no bookings but we still managed to get the tickets. Enough said, nya org Brunei "kalat mata" dah. ;)

I am on the phone as I am typing this. I am not bored nor am I not concentrating ; in fact I am on to every word that the speaker has got to say. It's just that I think there are something that the speaker said that prompted me to blog about it straighaway for fear that I might have forgotten all about it later.

I kept on wondering why do I always have to go through the same thing again and again. For example, you've been baking a chocolate cake and you never seemed to get it right no matter how many times you have tried. I personally think that it's just my luck. Sigh, what a luck. nya orang Melayu - "malang".

I know that I am not perfect nor am I even close to being a perfectionist but I believe that I have my good traits. However, some people just don't seem to appreciate the good side of me. By "some people" I mean, those whom I expected some appreciation from. Sigh, take this from me, never have high expectations on anything or anyone or you'll bound to be disappointed. Just as I am right now.

I know this post is all over the place. I keep on jumping from one thought to another. I don't know, I just have so much in my head right now. At this moment, I feel like crap. I am suffering from an incessant coughing and flu. (And no, not H1N1). Other than the health sickness, I feel like crap emotionally as well. It's like whatever I do, I never seemed to get it right. Really, I've tried hard to make everything right but I don't know why it never seems enough for some people. I have really put my every effort to do things right but...it goes unappreciated.

I know I am not a saint ; I know I am not the best person to have a conversation with ; I know I am not the sweetest person in the world ; I know I am not the most caring or loving person ; I know I am not good enough for anyone but myself ; I know I do not have the best temper nor do I have the best attitude - but above all this, I think I have made a good effort in trying to make things better. So why does this effort left unnoticed?

I just woke up an hour ago. The lappy clock reads 14:57pm. Gees. I've been catching up on my sleep lately. I miss all the sleep-late-wake-up-late routines where I do not have any teaching obligations or tours. All this will come to an end next week! So I shall enjoy my remaining free time to the fullest! What shall I do today? Nothing productive, obviously.

Here's a list of things that I might do today to kill the time :

I came across this quiz in Facebook entitled "Why Are You STILL Single?" the other day. And the result showed that I was being too picky! Well, I wouldn't say that I'm picky, I am just being cautious and testing the waters every now and then. So I decided to compile a list of the types of guys I've dated and why it didn't work out. After watching the Japanese/Taiwanese drama, Meteor Garden, I fell in love with the main character, Dao Ming Shi. He is the perfect example of a bad boy gone good. And so I went out with one. It was ok.

Type 2 - The Quiet One

I'm very talkative so I ended up doing the talkings all the time. Intially, it was nice because you have a listener instead of a speaker. But after awhile, it kinda frustrates me. I mean, if I want a listener who doesn't talk much, I might as well just talk to the wall, right? And also, there's this saying "Diam diam tapi berisi".. How true!!!

Type 3 - The Insanely Rich One

I cannot stand self-centred people. It is as if the whole world revolves around them. Hence, I used to go out with this guy who would ALWAYS praise himself. For example, "Oh you know, the CEO said that I don't need to go for training; he said that I am the best XXX in the industry!"
or "Oh you know, I received $50 tips from the guests, they said that I am the best XXX!".

Type 7 : The Young Boy

Oh yes, I went out with a young boy once..well, he is not that young. Just a few months younger than me. However, that few months gap do make a big difference. Just as I suspected, he is immature and indecisive.

Type 8 : The All-Words-No-Action Guy

Basically this is the bullshitting guy. He does not practise what he preaches. I absolutely LOATHE these type of people.

Type 9 : The Romantic One

He is 'perfect' in every way. He is absolutely romantic. He remembers every single detail about what I said and tries not to do the things that I loathe. He gave me the most romantic birthday present ever. So what went wrong? His then ex-gf and now gf.

Type 10 : A combination of all of the above.

One word : DISASTROUS.

Miri Trip

I went on a Miri day trip yesterday with Pancy. We went to KB at around 12pm and we arrived in Miri at around 1.30pm. That was pretty quick I must say despite the ~~redundant~~ health checkpoints at the customs. They didn't take our temperatures ; we were only asked to fill in the health declaration form. Oh well, talk about efficiency. Anyhoots, the first thing we did in Miri was eating! We searched for places to eat and in the end we decided to go for Fratini's. Yes, we came all the way from BSB to Miri to eat at Fratini's.

We were attemptin to flaunt our artistic skills. And well... the kids did better! No wonder I always got a D for my drawing back in Primary school. Oh well.

Coincidence or Fate?

I was searching for a parking at Batu Satu when I saw this blue Corolla. The past flashes back right in front of me ; I thought that blue Corolla was someone I knew back then and when I took a closer look, I realized that I've got the wrong person. I drove in circles searching for a parking but to no avail. During the course of circling, I was thinking about that person. It has been 6 months since I last saw or heard from him. I was just wondering how's life for him now. I have this crazy idea that he might have migrated or something.

Anyhoots, I finally got a parking - a side parking! GREAT! Everyone knows that I'm not an avid fan of side parkings. Double great, NOW everyone knows! Nevertheless, I side-parked graciously. I went straight to Soon Lee's supermarket. You guys know right, that small, crappy escalator? That was when I had this feeling that someone is watching over me. Literally. I turned around. And I turned around again. It was him. The guy from the past. The guy who I was thinking about right then. It was awkward. It caught me off guard. I didn't know what to do or how to react. So I offered a rather awkward handshake. It was I don't know!

The main point is... was it a coincidence? If it was, then why now? Why, today of all days, I thought of him and a few moments later *poof* there he was? If it's not coincidence, could it be fate? Hmm. Let's not go there. I, for one thing, has no faith in fate. What's the purpose of this entry again? I don't know. You tell me, coincidence or fate?

I need to rant. I am sleepy. My brain is not functioning well. My eyes are shutting down. I've been deprived of sleep for 35 hours now and still counting. I've been studying my ass off since yesterday morning 7am until today 1pm before I had my Performance Analysis exam at 2pm until 5pm. The exam was blaaaaaah. *My right eye is closed as I type*. Anyhoots, I would like to say "Thanks" to Aspa for her hospitality last night, next time lagi ah? But this time, we just have fun; no more studying. This post is dedicated especially to you. If you've noticed, I've not been updating my blog much and this post is all about you. I may not have known you for a long, long time and vice versa but I've known you long enough to figure out what kind of person you are. You are passive, submissive, funny, pacaaah and well, tall. I liked you just the way you are. You've told me countless of times how you felt; I may not have been corresponding but it doesn't mean that I don't feel the same way too. I just have a hard time trusting people again. I have a hard time letting my guards down for fear that I'd ended up hurt again. It may sound like an excuse but I speak of nothing but the truth.

You do not know the countless of times I would glance at my phone every now & then hoping that a msg or a call would come through. You do not know the countless of times I would type your email account in the "search" tool just so that I can promptly know whether you're online or not. You do not know the pitter-patters that I have whenever you called/texted either via the phone or MSN. You do not know how delighted I was whenever I see you. You do not know that I would smile whenever you leave sweet, little comments on my FB wall. You do not know that I was hoping for you to call/text or try to reach to me somehow when you went to KL. You do not know how sad & disappointed I was when I knew that you've let go without saying goodbye & letting me be alone. Audi A4 Launching Dinner

I was invited by Izaa to the Audi A4 launching dinner at JPCC Amphitheatre last saturday. It was something totally random and unexpected for me as I've never been to any car launching dinners before. So Audi was a first for me. I must say, I knew nothing much about Audi prior the launching dinner. As we arrived at the designated place, we were treated as if we were attending some movie premiere. There are waiters all over the place serving non-alcoholic punch and there were photographers snapping photos away as you enter the place. We also had to sign on this Audi poster to show that we were there. Like I said, it's very much like a movie premiere. The food was catered by RBC. It was beyond my expectation and the food was simply delicious. Oh by the way, those are the exact words that I blurted when I was being asked to comment on the food in front of a whole camera crew! Phewww. Oh yes, I feel like a celebrity. But then again, the main attraction of the night was the Audi A4. It is fantastic. I wouldn't mind to have the red one. Or maybe the Audi TT Coupe. Ooh. I liiiiiiiiike! Oh, I still don't know much about Audi, if that's what you're wondering =) Enjoy the pictures!

Wow. It's 2009! Happy New Year, everyone! I certainly do not have any new year's resolution. Yet. Even if I do have one, I doubt I will keep it. Lately I can't seem to compose anything. Not here, not in papers, nowhere. I'm suffering from a writer's block! Tsk tsk. Not a good way to start for the dreading exams. Oh yes, I think the uni's exam department has something against me cause they conveniently altered my EL 2217 exam from 1st Dec to 24th Nov. What does that mean? Helllllooo. It's the day after MY birthday. Yes, MY BIRTHDAY. Plans to party till I drop go down the drain. Darn it. Instead of partying, I'd be burrowing myself with books. And more books! Now, that has already dampened my festive mood, I no longer anticipate MY birthday. But there IS one thing that can help lift me up again...

*coughs* The realization of MY BIRTHDAY WISHLIST! *coughs*

Today's such a chaotic day for me. I had to wake up at 4am and head off to Muara port at 5.15am. I had a Mangrove tour and hey, it was my first time doing the Mangrove tour. I usually do the city tour but today well, nature's my call. It was an eye-opener and I really had fun. I saw the famous Monyet Belanda, mangrove snakes, crocodile, squirrel, monitor lizard and countless number of kingfishers. It was an amazing trip though the weather was kinda bad. Pictures will be posted up soon :)

Anyhoots, I met several new people today and there's this one particular person whom I had a small talk with on life issues. It was incredible the way he described how life was for him back then when he was in high school, how he tends to keep his problems to himself, how he hates to be alone, how he judges the world against a certain prejudice and how hard he has been on himself. From his eyes, his words, I saw myself. I reflected on his words and realized that I'm wasting my life away. I should be going out there and explore the world. Why confine myself into my tiny puny comfort zone? Why let the past haunt my future? Why let anyone hinder my way?

I've decided to pursue the future I wanted. I want to do what I desire and I will not let anyone be in my way. Future is in my hands and it's up to me how I approach it. One day, someday, you will hear this household name,

Emo

Lately I've developed an affinity for emo songs, emo images, emo blogs, emo people. It never occurs to me that I'd actually be attracted to emo stuffs. Now let me define what's emo. It's definitely not pure punk nor goth. It's like a mixture of punk rock and with all the angst thrown in it. Pls don't quote my words but a least that is what emo is in my understanding.

Emo people are easily recognized by their really dark hair (usually black) with pink, red, blue or blonde streaks. Their attire do not differ much from a punk's. They probably do not use tartans ; howver, they do use skinny jeans, men or women. They also probably have quite a number of facial piercings. Adding on to that, they usually have quite heavy dark eye make up.

I've been listening to quite a few emo songs,well, that's how Google defines them. So far, I can't stop playing On My Own by The Used.

I do not know what I'm going through right now. I've been drowning myself with assignments and work. Because whenever I'm alone, I tend to recoil into my dark, cold world.

My Ramadhan Sungkai Meals

Now that Hari Raya is just one day away, no wait, less than 10 hours away, I think this is the perfect time to blog about all the fattening yet scrumptious sungkai dinners that I've had during Ramadhan. During the fasting month, I've eaten out with my friends and family quite a number of time and I'm sure the numbers on the weighing scale have increased! Bear with me for all the pictures as most of my friends are vain, just like me! Enjoy y'all!

Verdict : 7/10 - The food wasn't that bad but a little disapponting as it's not up to their usual standard. However, the siew mai and butter prawn get 2 thumbs up from me!

Verdict : 8/10 - RBC, as usual, always satisfies everyone's taste buds. However, it's a little bit pricey though. $25 per se.

Verdict : 7/10 - I didn't really try all the food as I was busying scooping plates after plates of rendang! The fruit punch was good though.

Overall, I think each restaurant has their own specialties. The most important thing is the get-together and the bonding between friends. That's what makes the experience enjoyable and memorable regardless of whether the food was good or bad.

I spent 5 hours at IA Salon yesterday. Well, it was worthy and fruitful as I am satisfied with the end product. However, I do wish that my hair is shorter but the stylist didn't want to cut off too much of my luscious locks. :D

I chose to have 4 colour tones. The outer part is dark brown, the inner layer is light brown whereas the innermost layer is blonde. My fringe, I chose chocolate brown. So, how did it turn out?

My hair is layered to show the different hues. (Oh, I love my bitchy red nails!)

The left side one is the new hairdo. And no, I didn't curl my hair. It's only temporary. So my hair now is really straight. I might get it cut shorter again. The colour of my outer hair now is darker and richer. The inner side tends to show the wild side of me as it's really blonde, close to yellow. :)
